You're giving me a what?
These might be gifts that seem odd, but have been some of my favorites!
The Tervis Tumblers and Gilden Tree Foot Scrubbers would have to be on my list. Let's start with the Tervis Tumblers. Remember that thoughtful gift giver I have mentioned before? Well, I happened to learn about these from them! Now I must admit, when I first looked in their kitchen cabinets and primarily saw plastic cups in an adult home, I did think it was mighty strange. But once I fell in love with them, I too am that household. The obvious things of Tervis tumblers are their ability to reflect your personality and likes. My absolute favorite one is "Rosie the Riveter" and it happens to be our best selling one in store also. Both sizes. Nothing like good ol fashion women power! But we also have some that reflect branches of the military, mom, dad, KU/K-State and the newest addition of the Royals World Series tumblers.
Tervis tumblers are created to hold all of your beverages. Hot or cold. They are double wall insulated, so your cold drinks won't sweat and make a mess. They all have lids that you can drink from, use a straw with(which most women prefer), or close for safe travels. They do come in many size options, but we only carry the 16 and 24 ounce tumblers. I personally love the larger size, where the company would say they sell more of the smaller size. But...the best thing about a Tervis tumbler is that there is a lifetime guarantee. So if your glass cracks, the seal leaks, it gets horribly scratched from the lawn mower....mail it in and they will replace it for free! LOVE IT!
*Who do you know who always carries around a drink? Or has a drink on their desk? Hot or cold!
Gilden Tree terracotta foot scrubber
This was something I received from my sister about 4 years ago for Christmas. And I must admit, I thought it was the weirdest gift ever. "Like serious? You got me a foot scrubber, and a weird one none the less?" Well, I don't say this very often, but my sister was right! And so was Oprah....this little bugger is amazing!
Keep it in your shower, or bathtub. Depending on how bad you have let your feet get, maintaining amazing heels take a scrub a week all year long. Just for a minute. And if you are like some people who haven't sanded your heels in a while, you may want to try using it every day for a week or so. Apply your favorite body scrub or even just cleaning gel, and give it a buff. It is amazing how smooth and healthy your heels will become. They are terra-cotta so if you drop them, they will break. I break one on average every year, but I happen to know where I can find them now. :)
Gilden Tree also has a few other spa/pedicure products and many of them are designed for diabetics with feet problems. I only carry a couple of them, but would be happy to look at expanding the line if saw a local desire. They have a small shea butter hand lotion that I carry in my purse that has a smell that is to die for. It is almost a manly smell that is very clean. It's in a small tub so easy to transport and then to refill from a larger size.
